Lance McCullers’ Rallies Late, Takes Third Spot in Fan Draft

Lance McCullers must have some amazing fans out there. After appearing destined for a fourth or fifth place finish a few days ago, the Florida high-school right-hander rallied in sensational form, and ended up taking top honors in the most recent round of voting, for the third overall spot in the draft.

Welcome to Seattle, Lance. Hope you enjoy your imaginary stay.

Here’s how the voting broke down.

50%  Lance McCullers Jr., RHP, Tampa Jesuit Prep (FL)

27%  Kyle Zimmer, RHP, San Francisco

12%  Byron Buxton, OF, Appling County HS (GA)

How Kyle Zimmer lost his double-digit so quickly lead will forever be a mystery.

Here’s the breakdown of who’s been drafted where so far.

That being said, let’s open up voting for the fourth-overall pick, the Baltimore Orioles. Will it be Buxton? Zimmer? Or maybe an outsider?
