People’s Draft Sends Kyle Zimmer to Baltimore

Voting has ended on what Baltimore should do with the fourth pick in the draft this June, and San Francisco right-hander got the greatest percent of the vote to date, and finished 44% ahead of the next closest competitor.

Here’s how the voting broke down:

64%  Kyle Zimmer, RHP, San Francisco

20%  Byron Buxton, OF, Appling County HS (GA)

4%    Lucas Giolito, RHP, Harvard-Westlake HS (CA)

4%    Mike Zunino, C, Florida

4%    Kevin Gausman, RHP, LSU

Four picks down, 27 more to go.

Let’s get to voting on the fifth overall pick, the Kansas City Royals. Last year they scooped up the top high-school hitter in Bubba Starling. Will they do the same in 2012?
