2015 Position Rankings: 2B/SS (Updated!!!)

baseball_fieldThose who are unfamiliar with many of the names on this list should familiarize yourself pronto. The depth at the shortstop position is one of the strengths of the 2015 draft class, with numerous prospects capable of going in the first round.

The cream of the crop is Brendan Rodgers, who, if the draft was held today, would probably be the No. 1 overall pick.
He’s a legit five-tool talent who evokes memories of Troy Tulowitzki with his hitting ability and prowess in the field. The only other player capable of challenging Rodgers for the top spot might be Dansby Swanson of Vanderbilt. Interestingly, Swanson has yet to see any time at the shortstop position, instead playing at second. He was the Most Valuable Player of the College World Series last season, pacing the way for the Commodores.

These rankings are current as of 6/8/15, and will be updated throughout the draft season.
