  1. Many MLB scouts have overlooked Chase Howell, a catcher, from Bethel University. He has a 1.78 in game pop time with a 6.68 60 yd dash. He batted .320 for 2015 & 2016. His best tool though his is his catching ability. He sits very low and spreads out so his framing ability is on par with MLB professionals. He gives the umpires a good look at the plate with his low setup. Agility wise he is explosive with his throw and has been clocked in game with a 90mph velocity ball leaving his glove headed for 2nd base. He routinely picks off players at first and keeps the pressure off the pitcher so they can focus on batters. It’s a shame MLB scouts are not paying attention to what I consider a potential hall of famer catcher.
