Mike Zunino has everything one would look for in a franchise catcher.
The 2012 draft is considerably weaker than the previous year’s event. That’s not to say the class isn’t without some incredibly talented players, both on the mound and at the plate. In terms of ceiling, this year’s top group of prospects rival that of 2011. However, what separates this year from last is the lack of depth. There were probably 50 or 60 players capable of being drafted in the first-round last June, whereas this year there appears to be around half that number. Without further ado, I present the top 30 prospects for the 2012 MLB Draft.
This list will be continuously updated throughout the year.

Mark my words of Advice, Byron Buxton is gonna sorely Dissapoint the Houston Astros, if they take him # 1 overall!! IMO-he’s top 25, if that? Says, Aaaahhh- knew I shoulda picked football after he cashes chk in 2-3 years-
Zunino, Appel, Zimmer, Heaney, Fried, Gausman, McCullers, Jr., Weickel, Dahl and Almora, should be the 2012 MLB Draft-Top 10 Selection Order, but because of Hgt: 6’5-6’6, 99 MPH-FB only, Projection and General Delusion, 10 of the top 31 will be busts, arm trouble/blow outs, won’t live up to expectations or prospect becomes, “Impatient” because of somebody in the majors n front of them stalling their careers! Solution: Pick kids that are not “2 sport stars”, haven’t been pampered/spoiled, big hearts/passion, really hungry and most important…They’re madly n love with the art of Baseball and a are a true fan of the game!
